The Hochwildpark Rheinland is situated idyllically in the open nature of the northern Eifel. Here, there is a total area of 80 hectares, with more than 300 animal species living in the ponds, woods, and on the green meadows of the Eifel animal park. Wild boars, mini pigs, deer, cattle, goats, llamas and co. can roam freely in the park area, just as they would be able to do in their natural habitats. Many of the animals have already become very trusting, which makes a visit to the wildlife park a very special experience. On several days a year, various special events are also offered. These include night walks during the red deer rutting season, animal keeper taster days, and photo safaris for children.
The Hochwildpark Rheinland also takes care of your physical well-being. After a hike through the park, the Waldhaus Grill, with an adjoining beer garden, invites you to recharge your batteries and enjoy yourself. Homemade specialities include natural wood charcoal grilled meat, as well as variety of delicious vegetarian dishes. The feeling of being in a wildlife park is not lost during the meal, as the grill house offers guests a rustic ambience and a direct view of the large aviary. In addition, there is a large adventure playground for children visible from the restaurant. Those who want to can rent a grill pit closeby and tuck into dishes they have brought from home.
