Yes you can.

Pre-booking is free and lets you decide exactly where and when you want your car. We'll bring your pre-booked car within walking distance of your requested pick-up address* — within the Home Area, of course!

Pre-booking is exclusively available for long-term rentals from 1 to 30 days. Maximum rental period may vary depending on your city. Learn more about pre-booking here

*This product or service is limited to certain SHARE NOW cities only and therefore may not be available in the city of your registration or your respective rental.

Currently, you can pre-book a car from 1 to 100 days in advance.

Don't worry. We'll make sure the car stays reserved for you up to 1 hour after your requested pick-up time.

After 1 hour, your pre-booking will be automatically cancelled and you will be charged 1 full rental day (24 hours).

Your car will be ready for you at your pick-up location roughly 1 hour before start time. We'll notify you as soon as the car is ready for you.

For short trips in the city, only the person who owns the account may drive the car. However, if you pre-book a trip for 1 to 30 days, an additional driver can be added to your booking for a fee of 8,99 € per day.

Our goal is to make sure you don't have to walk more than 10 minutes (roughly 800 m) to reach your pre-booked car.

In some SHARE NOW cities, we operate station-based car-sharing where cars do not "free-float" but are rented from fixed stations.

We'll notify you when the car is ready for you. Simply open the SHARE NOW app. The car will already be reserved for you on the map. Just walk over and start your trip in the app!

Once the pre-booked car has been reserved for you 1 hour before start time, you will not be able to reserve or rent other SHARE NOW cars.

You can simply cancel your pre-booking via the app:

Cancellations are free if you do so at least 3 hours before your start time. After that, a late cancellation fee will be charged, as we would have set aside the car just for you. We hope that sounds fair!

You don't have to refuel our cars, but if you choose to, the cost is on us and we'll even give you credit for it!

Here's how to refuel our cars:

1. Use the app to find a partner petrol station. Digital fuelling is available at more than 1,500 Shell stations across Germany.
2. Select the Refuel option in the app.
3. Before picking up the nozzle, enter your pump number in the app.
4. Fill up the tank - the cost of your fuel is on us!
5. Once you're done fuelling, replace the nozzle.
6. We'll take care of the payment automatically and, where applicable, apply SHARE NOW credit to your account.

Hint: Each time you fully refuel a car that has less than 40% of fuel, you earn 5€ of credit. This will be used to pay for your trips and trip-related costs. Fueling is free unless you do so at unapproved petrol stations or outside of the country. In these cases, you'll have to pay for it yourself and send the original receipt to us.

Note: Some of our cars still contain a Total fuel card. If your car has one, you can refuel at any Total or Aral partner fuel station just like before.

You don't have to refuel our cars, but if you do, the cost is on us. Fuelling your SHARE NOW car is free – as long as you do so at a partner fuel station. Simply check the app for all partner fuel stations in your area. We provide a prepaid fuel card in each of our cars (glove compartment or armrest), which you can use at the following petrol stations:

Austria
BP, Avanti, OMV, Agip.

Germany
Shell (payment via the SHARE NOW app in over 1,500 Shell fuel stations)
Aral, Total (payment with Total fuel card)

Italy

If you fuel your car at a non-partner fuel station or outside of the country, you have to pay for it yourself and send the original receipt to us.

Booking a Mercedes-Benz Rent car is free – there is no extra cost to reserve their cars. But as you'll be booking cars directly from Mercedes-Benz Rent, their trip rates will apply. There are a few differences:

• Parking costs are not included.
• You'll need a credit card and 1000 € will be temporarily blocked for security.

Yes, absolutely. If you'd like to add an additional driver to your pre-booking, you can do so via the SHARE NOW app.

You can invite new or current SHARE NOW users to become a second drivers on your pre-booked trip. At the trip checkout, we'll give you a unique invitation link to share with your chosen co-pilot. Once they accept this invitation, their driver status will be activated.

Additional driver not a SHARE NOW user yet? No problem! They can simply create and validate an account before accepting your invitation to drive via the magic link shared with you.

An additional driver cost of 8,99 € per day will be applied.

Additional drivers must meet the minimum age requirement for the category of car booked.
