Frequently asked questions about car-sharing for students

1. Fuelling and charging is on SHARE NOW, but how does it work?
If the car is low on battery or has a low fuel level, just visit one of ourpartner stations. We will take care of the bill. Learn more about fuelling or charging a SHARE NOW car.

2. Can I make a stopover?
Of course! Simply park your car and use the app to lock it. The car will remain at your disposal. So you can continue your journey after a pleasant break.

3. Can I share my SHARE NOW car with another driver?
To invite an additional driver to your trip, you must pre-book a car and add an extra driver to your rental.

4. Is there any extra fee for young drivers?
A small fee applies to all young Free2move and SHARE NOW drivers aged 18 to 20 (in addition to the base fee), who opt for our car-sharing service in one of our locations. The fee varies based on country/city.

The rookie fee is not applicable in Madrid.

The prices depend on the car model, location and starting time of your reservation or rental (if you have not reserved in advance) and are currently only valid in Hamburg, Munich, Berlin, Cologne and Dusseldorf. Prices from 0,09 € only apply for the car types, "Fiat 500", "BMW i3", “Peugeot 208” and certain MINI models and depend on location and starting time. Before you start the reservation or rental via the app, you will be asked to confirm the respective price.

The minute rate includes 200 km of mileage. A long distance fee of 0,39 € per kilometer will apply for each additional kilometer after the included mileage. Hourly and daily rates do not include mileage and each kilometre driven will be charged 0,24 €. The daily price displayed is for a 30-day rental.

All SHARE NOW cars are covered by third-party liability insurance and your deductible is always automatically reduced to a specific amount in case of an accident. This agreement is waived, however, in cases of gross negligence. To learn more, please check out our terms and conditions.
