Viennese like to plan: Number of pre-bookings more than doubled in July 2022
Trend toward longer rents in Vienna: 42 % increase in rental duration

Users can either rent their desired vehicle from the roadside or book it up to 100 days in advance free of charge and conveniently specify pick-up location and time via app. This flexibility is particularly popular with Viennese users during the vacation season: In July 2022, the number of pre-bookings increased by 145 % compared to the same period last year.

Only five minutes to the car
SHARE NOW also offers additional options for long-term rentals (one day or more), such as booking a second driver or a comfort package for 29.99 euros. This package guarantees a freshly cleaned, disinfected and fully fueled vehicle. In addition, the vehicle is delivered even closer to the desired pick-up address, so that the user can reach the car in a maximum of five minutes on foot.
"With our offer, we close the gap between spontaneous short-term rentals and long-term car use and cover almost all use cases of car use - without having to commit to a car. It's our answer to people's increasingly flexible mobility needs," says Reppert.
Trend toward longer journeys
The increasing demand in the first half of 2022 shows that the SHARE NOW service meets the modern mobility needs of Vienna's 288,000 customers. Compared to the previous year, the average distance traveled increased by 18 % and the average rental period by 7 %.
In summer in particular, Viennese customers increasingly use SHARE NOW for longer journeys. In July 2022, for example, the average rental duration increased by 42 % compared to July 2021, and the average distance traveled increased by 35 % compared to the previous year.

Customers in Vienna can rent one of the 700 SHARE NOW vehicles at any time from 0.26 euros per minute. Daily packages start at 25 euros per day, plus 0.19 euros per kilometer.
