What is a drop off fee?

A drop off fee applies when you end your trip in drop off zones (marked "Zone A" or "Zone B" on the Home Area map).

Drop off zones are part of the Home Area and are located a little outside the city centre. The drop off fee does not apply if you start and end your trip within the same drop off zone.

Are SHARE NOW cars insured?

Yes. All SHARE NOW cars are covered by third-party liability insurance and your deductible is always automatically reduced to a specific amount in case of an accident. This agreement is waived, however, in cases of gross negligence. To learn more, please check out our terms and conditions.

What is the Driver Protection Fee (DPF)?

The DPF is one of the ways we provide users insurance coverage while driving SHARE NOW cars. It does not apply in Austria.

When you drive SHARE NOW in Austria, you do not have to pay the DPF. Your deductible is automatically reduced to 500,00 € (XS and S cars) and to 1.000,00 € (M and L cars). This agreement is waived, however, in cases of gross negligence.

What is a deductible?

In an insurance policy, the deductible is the amount paid out of pocket by the policy holder before an insurance provider will pay any expenses.

In other words: The lower the deductible, the better the insurance coverage.

With SHARE NOW, your deductible is always automatically reduced to a specific amount in case of an accident. The deductible depends on the car and package you select. To learn more, please check out our terms and conditions.

How can I find cars with the lowest prices?

You can easily find our lowest prices by looking for cars marked with a red sticker in the app. The discount applies to the minute rate, which changes according to time and location. The minute rate applies from the moment you reserve the car – no matter where or when you end the trip.

Why does the minute rate change according to time and location?

You might have noticed that the minute rate for each car changes depending on where and when you look in the app. The reason is: availability! Sometimes there are too few or too many cars when and where you need them. To get cars moving to the right spots, the minute rate automatically adjusts itself based on time and location.

The advantages:
✓ Cars in low demand areas are discounted daily so they are more likely to be driven.
✓ For just a few cents more or less, demand and supply are brought back into balance.
✓ This improves the availability of cars throughout the Home Area so you can find a car at the right place and time – for the right price.
✓ Our prices are capped and never exceed the maximum price range.

You can always see the latest minute rate by tapping on a car. Simply look out for cars with red stickers in the app to enjoy the lowest price. Happy bargain-hunting!
