PLUG-IN GUIDE

How to charge an electric car in Italy

Charging an electric car is fun and – dare we say – addictive! We don't expect you to charge our electric cars after every trip. However, if you do, the cost of charging is covered by us and we'll even give you SHARE NOW credit as a thank you. Here's how to do it:

You'll find it either in the the glove compartment or the armrest. If you're at a regular charging station (22KW), use the cable located in the car boot. If you're at a fast charging station, you can use the station's cable.

Wait for the screen to indicate it's ready. If you're at a fast charging station, make sure to select the CCS2 option (not CHAdeMO).

Get the charging cable from the car boot. The cable end with the cap is for the car, and the other end is for the station.

Wait for the LED next to the port to light up. Return the charging card. Easy as that! To earn credit, make sure the car is charging before ending your trip!

UNPLUG GUIDE

How to unplug an electric car in Italy

One of the perks of free-floating car-sharing is that you can locate electric cars anywhere throughout the Home Area. If you are looking for maximum range, though, we recommend starting your trip in a car that is waiting at a charging station, full and ready to hit the road. Here's how to unplug electric cars:

Exactly how you would start any trip. You'll also need to take the charging card from the car's glove compartment.

Swipe the card to end the charging process at the charging station.

If you're at a fast-charging station, the cable belongs to the station so you can leave it there.

Unplug the cable from the station, if you're at a regular charging station (22KW). Put the cable back in the boot and put the card back in the holder. That's it!
