Menterschwaige Gutshof: Situated directly on the banks of the Isar river beneath old chestnut trees, this beer garden in Munich promises pure relaxation. Insel Mühle beer garden: A real Munich beer garden that’s not only for enthusiasts. Its idyllic location on the river Würm welcomes you into Bavarian cosiness with freshly tapped beer from the oldest brewery in the city, the Augustiner Bräu. Spoil yourself with specialities such as ‘Ausgezognen’ (German donuts) or bring your own snacks with you. Refreshing drinks a-plenty can be found under the large chestnut trees at the fish pond. The beer garden is quick to reach via Landsberger Straße. You can park the car in the cemetery car park on Von-Kahr-Straße.

Minihofbräuhaus: This beer garden in the English garden owes its name to its pleasant, cozy size. It’s also nicknamed dog beer garden as many dog owners stop here for a break with their four-legged friend after a long walk through the garden. It’s the perfect place to dig into a Bavarian breakfast with Weißwurst, Brezn, and beer while reading a newspaper. Not far from the centre, in the middle of the city’s ‘green lung’, this beer garden in Munich is quick to reach by car. From Steinsdorfstraße, Widenmayerstraße and Ifflandstraße, follow the Isarring in the direction of Hirschau. The beer garden is on Gyßlingstraße. It’s best to park in Alt-Schwabing.

The beer garden can be combined perfectly with a swimming trip to the Isar. The typical Bavarian beer garden cuisine gives you back your energy after sporting activities. Various entertainment on the outdoor stage can be enjoyed with a cool beer in the hand. You can reach the street Am Isarkanal via Ernardtstraße, Auenstraße and Schäftlarnstraße. You can park the car there for free. Walk the last few metres to the beer garden.

Waldwirtschaft Großhesselohe: Known only as Wawi to Munich locals, this beer garden is particularly popular because of its jazz tradition. After all, the hot delicacies from the grill together with refreshing beer taste completely different with soft jazz music in the background. In addition, the beer garden in Munich also offers plenty of space for the little ones to run around and play. A must for anyone looking for some relaxation in a tree-lined setting. To get to the beer garden on the outskirts of Munich, take the Altstadtring ring road, out of town at Sendlinger Tor via Wolfratshauser Straße to Solln. Parking is available directly at the garden in Georg-Kalb-Straße.
