How do I refuel SHARE NOW cars?

How do I refuel SHARE NOW cars?

You don't have to refuel our cars, but if you choose to, the cost is on us and we'll even give you credit for it! Here's how to refuel our cars:

  1. Go to a partner petrol station.
  2. Look for the prepaid fuel card (OMV or MOL depending on the partner station) in the key card holder (in the glove compartment).
  3. The PIN for the fuel card will be displayed in the app
  4. Determine the correct fuel type by checking inside the car's fuel tank door.
  5. Fuel up.
  6. Enter the fuel card PIN at the gas station terminal.

Fueling is free unless you do so at unapproved petrol stations. In these cases, you'll have to pay for it yourself and send the original receipt to us. A processing fee may then apply. Please do not fuel our cars with premium fuel (e.g.: MaxxMotion).

What are partner fuel stations?

You don't have to refuel our cars, but if you do, the cost is on us. Fueling your SHARE NOW car is free – as long as you do so at a partner fuel station. Simply check the app for all partner fuel stations in your area. We provide a prepaid fuel card in each of our cars (glove compartment / armrest), which you can use at the following petrol stations:

Hungary
OMV, MOL

Austria
BP, Agip, Avanti, OMV

Denmark
Circle K

Germany
Shell, Esso, Avia
Aral, Total

Italy
Q8

Fueling is free unless you do so at non-partner petrol stations, or at a partner fuel station without the fueling card. In these cases, you'll have to pay for it yourself. Please request every time a VAT invoice to Wallis Autómegosztó Zrt. Kórház u. 6-12. 1033 Budapest (Tax number: 32009754-2-41) with the license plate number of the rented vehicle and send the original invoice to us. In cases like this, after we received the invoice we will transfer the amount back for you, but a processing fee may then apply as per actual Fee and Cost Policy.

What type of fuel should I refuel with?

Our global fleet is comprised of mostly petrol engine cars, but we still have a few diesel engine cars. In Hungary, we only use petrol engine and electric cars.

Make sure you check the instructions in the SHARE NOW app and use the correct fuel type by checking the car's gas tank door on the inside. Please do not fuel our cars with premium fuel (e.g.: MaxxMotion).

How can I earn SHARE NOW credit?

Credit is an easy and flexible way for you to earn as you go. It's our way of thanking you when you care for our cars. Here's how you can earn credit:

If the fuel level of a SHARE NOW car is below 20% – and you refuel at a partner fuel station – we reward you with 2 390 SHARE NOW credit. Important: Credit is only granted if there is at least 90% of fuel left when you end the trip.

If the battery level of a SHARE NOW electric car is below 20% – and you end your trip at a partner charging station within the Home Area – we reward you with 2 390 SHARE NOW credit. Important: You can only charge the BMW i3, the Opel Corsa-e and the Peugeot e-208 models.

Credit earned is valid for 60 days. You can always check the validity of your SHARE NOW credit in the app.

How do I charge an electric car?

Currently, you can charge the BMW i3, the Opel Corsa-e and the Peugeot e-208 models in Hungary.

Here's how to charge our cars:

  1. Before you start your trip, download the Mobiliti app, apply the SHARE NOW filter and find an available Mobiliti charging station near you (available chargers are indicated in green in the app).
  2. When you get to the dedicated parking space, park the car. Then first check if the car is open (central locking system), as you will only be able to open the charging port this way.
  3. Plug the CCS/DC (fast) charger into the car.
  4. Take out the charging card from the car (glove compartment or armrest) and hold it near the Mobiliti charging station to charge. If you find a "Start" button on the charging station, press it after holding the card against the reader. Always follow the instructions shown on the charging station display.
  5. Put the card back in its dedicated place in the car and check if charging has started.
  6. Make a stopover during your trip or end the rental within the Home Area if you don't want to continue your trip.

How do I unplug an electric car?

To finish charging, follow these easy steps:

  1. If your chosen car is currently charging, start the rental in the SHARE NOW app first. If your rental is already in progress, open the car with the app or keys to continue your trip.
  2. Take the charging card out of the car (glove compartment or armrest) and hold it against the charging station to stop charging. If you find a "Stop" button on the charging station, press it after holding the card against the reader. Always follow the instructions shown on the charging station display.
  3. Remove the charging cable from the charging port and put it back on the charging station.
  4. Put the charging card back in its dedicated place in the car.
  5. You can start driving!

If you cannot remove the charging cable from the charging port, check the charging station to see if charging has stopped or if the car is open. When the car starts charging, the cable is locked in place to the vehicle's charging port. The charging latch automatically releases when the car is 100% charged. Use the charging card to stop charging earlier.

Do I need to refuel or charge SHARE NOW cars after each trip?

No. We don't expect you to refuel or charge our cars when you're done. However, if you need to refuel or charge the car, you can simply use the fuel cards or charge card provided inside the car. You can use this card at partner stations to refuel or charge for free.

If you end your trip in an electric vehicle with less than 15 kilometres' worth of battery power (unless permitted by the General Terms and Conditions) or a vehicle with a combustion engine with less than 15 kilometres' worth of fuel, a fee may be charged. See Fee and cost policy for more information.

Hint: To earn charging credit, please make sure to end your trip after the car has started charging!

Who should I contact if I have a problem with charging?

If you have a problem with the charging station, please contact the Mobiliti Customer Service at +36 62 56 57 58. Errors are displayed on the charging station interface.

What kind of charging plugs can I use to charge electric cars?

However, you can't charge smart EQ fortwo models.

What to do if the charging station is occupied?

Please check if there is a free charging station in the Mobiliti application before you approach the station. This will prevent you from going to a charging station where there is no free charger.

Can I start the car while it is charging?

What is the range of electric cars?

You can find the estimated remaining distance on the display of the car. Please visit a partner charging station near you when the battery level is low, or end your trip so that the battery has enough to cover a minimum of 15 km.

Can I park at the charging station anytime?

You can only park at partner charging stations if the car is charging. If you continue your trip after charging, you can park at the charging station for a maximum of 15 minutes after charging is complete (100 % battery level)

*In some SHARE NOW cities, we operate station-based car-sharing where cars do not "free-float" but are rented from fixed stations.

Can I charge the car during my trip?
