How can I earn SHARE NOW credit?

Credit is an easy and flexible way for you to earn as you go. It's our way of thanking you when you care for our cars. Here's how you can earn credit:

If the fuel level of a SHARE NOW car is below 20% – and you refuel at a partner fuel station – we reward you with 2 390 SHARE NOW credit. Important: Credit is only granted if there is at least 90% of fuel left when you end the trip.

If the battery level of a SHARE NOW electric car is below 20% – and you end your trip at a partner charging station within the Home Area – we reward you with 2 390 SHARE NOW credit. Important: You can only charge the BMW i3, the MINI Electric and the Peugeot e-208 models, you can't charge the smart EQ fortwo models.

Credit earned is valid for 60 days. You can always check the validity of your SHARE NOW credit in the app.

What can I use SHARE NOW credit for?

You can use credit to pay for all trips made using on your default personal payment profile (not your business payment profile). As long as you have credit, it will automatically be used up to pay for your trips, including drop off fees, long distance rate, and other trip-related costs. Note: Credit currently cannot be used to add reservation time.

Credit is valid for 30 days and can be used only in the country where you earned it. You can always check your credit balance and expiry date in the app.

What is a business profile?

Create your Business Profile to account for your business trips easily! All you have to do is:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Create your Business Profile with a few clicks: Menu ▶ Payment ▶ Edit payment profile(s) ▶ Add payment profile
  3. Enter your company's billing information.
  4. Before starting your trip, select your Business Profile for invoicing.
  5. After the end of your trip, you will immediately receive your invoice in PDF format.
How do I add a new payment method?

You can easily add a new payment method directly in the app:

Open the app ▶ Menu ▶ Payment ▶ Edit payment profile(s) ▶ Add payment profile

An initial test charge will be pre-authorised on your payment method to make sure your card or bank account is working. Don't worry: This amount will not actually be charged to you.

What payment methods can I use?

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
Can I pay with a different payment profile after the invoice has been issued?

Unfortunately, for technical reasons, we are unable to change the payment profile after the invoice has been issued. We recommend checking your payment profile before starting a trip!

What happens if my payment fails?

If a payment fails, your SHARE NOW account will be temporarily suspended.

Credit or debit card:
If you're paying by credit card, you can pay your outstanding balance within the app. Open the app ▶ Menu ▶ Trips & Invoices ▶ Select the failed invoice. After the outstanding balance is cleared, your account will be unblocked automatically after the payment.

If payment collection is not successful, you will receive a letter by post asking you to transfer the outstanding amount to our bank account.

What is SEPA Direct Debit?

SEPA Direct Debit is an easy and convenient way for you to pay by automatic bank transfer. Each time you make a rental, the amount will be automatically deducted from your bank account.

A SEPA Direct Debit Mandate is a one-time authorization you grant to merchants allowing them to collect future payments from your bank account. These mandates usually expire after 36 months of inactivity. Don't worry: If your mandate expires, you can simply update it again in the app.

Currently, SEPA Direct Debit is available for SHARE NOW users in Germany and Austria only.

How can I close or deactivate my account?

If you'd like to close or deactivate your account, please send us an email at kozpont@share-now.hu.

Can I turn off email notifications regarding my invoices?

No. We're legally required to inform you about upcoming debits from your account. If you don’t wish to receive invoices (attached as PDF) as future emails, please contact us directly.

How can I use my registration promo code?
  1. Download the SHARE NOW app
  2. Click on "Register"
  3. Enter your personal details
  4. You'll see a question below: "Got a promo code?" - Enter the code.
  5. To complete your registration, upload your driver's license and set up your payment profile
  6. You are ready!
How can I use my promo code to earn credits?
  1. Open the SHARE NOW app
  2. Click on "Menu"
  3. Click on "Payment"
  4. Click on the question "Got a promo code?" below
  5. Enter your code and click on "REDEEM"
  6. You are ready!
How can I redeem my SHARE NOW Pass discounts?
  1. Open the SHARE NOW app
  2. Click on "Menu" and press "SHARE NOW Pass"
  3. Click on "Start subscription" and "Get it"
  4. Choose "Pass25" and press "Continue selection"
  5. Enter your code in the "Promo code" field
  6. Press "REDEEM" and press "Confirm purchase & subscribe"
Can I combine discounts?

Yes! Our discounts can be used together. For example, as a full-time student, you can travel with a 25% discount on the minute rates, and if you drive between 5 and 9 AM, you also get an extra discount of 25%.

Do you place a pre-authorization hold on my credit card before I start a trip?

Yes, in the case of hourly and daily packages. This is how we can guarantee for You, that the next time you use our cars, they have been handled with due care and waiting for you clean and in great condition.

Pre-authorization doesn't apply to minute-based rentals, it only applies to hourly- and daily packages. The pre-authorized amount is always equal to the cost of the selected package and the Base Fee. During this process, the bank checks your selected payment method whether there are sufficient funds to cover the package fee. This is not a deposit, the amount will be put on hold by your bank, remain on your bank account during your rental, and won't be deducted before the end of your trip.

Here's how it works:

👉 If the pre-authorized amount is equal to the total cost of your rental, your invoice will be paid from the already pre-authorized amount at the end of your trip, there are no additional charges.

👉 If the pre-authorized amount is not equal to the total cost of your rental, because you needed some extra kilometers, time or you finished your rental in an Extended zone, the funds will be immediately released at the end of your trip and your bank will make it available on your account. The time it takes to be available again depends on your bank service provider. In this instance, the rental fee will be charged immediately after releasing the pre-authorized amount.

👉 If you want to use credits to cover the cost of your trip, pre-authorization still applies. In this case, the pre-authorized amount will be immediately released and the cost of the rental covered by the available credits.

How can I get a SHARE NOW Gift Card?

I am not a SHARE NOW user. Can I still buy a Gift Card?

Yes, you do not need to be a SHARE NOW user to purchase.
