Can I book a car in advance?

Yes, you can, when you choose daily packages.

When prebooking, you are only able to choose a car category, not the specific model. We'll bring your pre-booked car to within walking distance of your requested pick-up address — within the Home Area, of course!

The prebooking fee is 3 990 Ft and you decide where and when exactly you want your car.

How far in advance can I pre-book a car?

You can pre-book a car from 48 hours to 30 days in advance.

How will I know when my pre-booked car is ready?

Your car will be ready for you at your pick-up location roughly 1 hour before start time. You will be able to see this in the app and we'll notify you via a push notification as soon as the car is ready for you.

Will my pre-booked car be delivered to the exact pick-up location I ask for?

Our goal is to make sure you don't have to walk more than a few minutes (roughly 100-200 m) to reach your pre-booked car.

How will I find my pre-booked car?

When the car is ready for you, we'll notify you via a push notification. Simply open the SHARE NOW app. The car will already be reserved for you on the map. Just walk over and start your trip in the app!

How can I cancel my pre-booking?

You can simply cancel your pre-booking via the app:

Open the app ▶ Menu ▶ Trips ▶ Upcoming trips ▶ Cancel booking

Cancellations are free if you do so at least 12 hours before your start time. After that, a late cancellation fee of 4 990 Ft will be charged, as we would have set aside the car just for you.

What happens if I do not start the prebooked rental?

Don't worry. We'll make sure the car stays reserved for you up to 1 hour after your requested pick-up time.

After 1 hour, your pre-booking will be automatically cancelled and you will be charged a No Show Fee of 7 990 Ft.

Can I use a different SHARE NOW car during my pre-booking?

Once the pre-booked car has been reserved for you 1 hour before start time, you will not be able to reserve or rent other SHARE NOW cars.

What cars can I prebook?

You can prebook a car based on its category (XS, S, M, L) or you can choose a MINI Convertible.

What packages can I prebook?

You can prebook rentals from 1 to 3 days.

Do you place a pre-authorization hold on my credit card before I start a trip?

Yes, in the case of hourly and daily packages. This is how we can guarantee for You, that the next time you use our cars, they have been handled with due care and waiting for you clean and in great condition.

Pre-authorization doesn't apply to minute-based rentals, it only applies to hourly- and daily packages. The pre-authorized amount is always equal to the cost of the selected package and the Base Fee. During this process, the bank checks your selected payment method whether there are sufficient funds to cover the package fee. This is not a deposit, the amount will be put on hold by your bank, remain on your bank account during your rental, and won't be deducted before the end of your trip.

Here's how it works:

👉 If the pre-authorized amount is equal to the total cost of your rental, your invoice will be paid from the already pre-authorized amount at the end of your trip, there are no additional charges.

👉 If the pre-authorized amount is not equal to the total cost of your rental, because you needed some extra kilometers, time or you finished your rental in an Extended zone, the funds will be immediately released at the end of your trip and your bank will make it available on your account. The time it takes to be available again depends on your bank service provider. In this instance, the rental fee will be charged immediately after releasing the pre-authorized amount.

👉 If you want to use credits to cover the cost of your trip, pre-authorization still applies. In this case, the pre-authorized amount will be immediately released and the cost of the rental covered by the available credits.
