Car-Sharing Expansion in Münster: SHARE NOW and BERESA Form Partnership

  • Local car-sharing provider wuddi becomes SHARE NOW
  • From November 10, the service will be available from 2.55 euros per hour
  • Münster is the first location where SHARE NOW offers station-based car-sharing
  • Franchisee is wuddi GmbH, the shared mobility start-up of the BERESA Group

SHARE NOW, the European market leader in flexible car-sharing, and the BERESA Group, one of the largest car dealership groups within the Mercedes-Benz organization, are joining forces to expand the car-sharing service in the BERESA economic region. The city of Münster will become the third location where SHARE NOW operates in a franchise model and the first location where SHARE NOW offers station-based car-sharing. The car-sharing service in Münster will be managed by wuddi GmbH, as part of the BERESA Group, and operated under the SHARE NOW brand. Starting today, users can register via the SHARE NOW website or app. Bookings will be possible from November 10, 2022.

"Our goal is to make car-sharing accessible to everyone and thus sustainably improve the quality of life in cities. This is precisely why we are continuously expanding our car-sharing offer and adapting it to the mobility needs of cities and citizens. With our station-based concept, we can also offer car-sharing in cities where the free-floating model has reached its limits. We are pleased to have found a future-oriented franchise partner in the BERESA Group to further advance shared mobility," says Olivier Reppert, CEO of SHARE NOW.

"With wuddi, we have been building up a car-sharing and mobility service for Münster and the Münsterland region since 2019 and have gained experience of what a user-friendly and digital car-sharing service needs to be successful. We are now looking forward to continuing the positive development together with SHARE NOW," says Sebastian Knapp, CFO of BERESA.

"Through wuddi, it was possible for the first time in 2019 in Münster to use car-sharing without a contract, without a deposit and 24/7. Since then, more than 3,500 customers have opted for wuddi. With SHARE NOW in Münster, all citizens and companies now have direct access not only to the vehicles in Münsterland, but also to all vehicles in the SHARE NOW network in Europe," says Manuel Schlottbom, CEO of wuddi.

SHARE NOW in Münster

From November 10, more than 70 SHARE NOW vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, smart, Renault, Hyundai and Skoda will be available to the people of Münster. The SHARE NOW vehicles can be rented from 2.55 euros per hour or 25.50 euros per day, plus 0.32 euros per kilometer. Unlike the other SHARE NOW locations, the service in Münster is station-based. Users can conveniently rent a vehicle at one of the 50 local rental stations using the SHARE NOW app without opening hours or paperwork and return it at the same station. As with all SHARE NOW locations, SHARE NOW covers the fueling and charging costs of the vehicles.

With the introduction of SHARE NOW, users in Münster will become part of the global SHARE NOW community of over 3.7 million customers at 17 locations. This will give them access to a total of 10,000 vehicles in the SHARE NOW fleet across Europe.
