Give it some spark! When you charge a car that’s running low on juice – you earn driving credit. Each time you fully charge a car that has less than 60% battery level, you'll earn 4,00 € of credit. This can be used to pay for your trips and trip-related costs. Just make sure you end your trip after you charge the car!

How to charge an electric car in Madrid

Charging an electric car is fun and – dare we say – addictive! We don't expect you to charge our electric cars after every trip. However, if you do, the cost of charging is covered by us and we'll even give you SHARE NOW credit as a thank you. Here's how to do it:

1. Find one of our charging hubs in Madrid

Park the car next to the charging station. See all charging hub locations

2. Connect the charging cable to the car

Plug the cable into the car's charging port. The charging station turns green when the car is plugged in correctly.

3. Key in the glove compartment? Doors and windows closed?

You can now end the trip from the app. Charging a car with low battery will earn you charging credit. To earn credit, make sure to end your trip after the car has started charging.

How to unplug an electric car in Madrid

One of the perks of free-floating car-sharing is that you can locate electric cars anywhere throughout the Home Area. If you are looking for maximum range, though, we recommend starting your trip in a car that is waiting at a charging station, full and ready to hit the road. Here's how to unplug electric cars:

1. Open the car with the app

Remember to start the rental before unplugging the car.

2. Unlock the car with the key or the app

The cable from the charging station will unlock.

3. Unplug the cable from the car and leave it at the charging station

That's it, you can start driving!

The minute rate includes 200km of mileage. A long distance fee of 0,39 € per kilometer will apply for each additional kilometer after the included mileage. Hourly and daily rates do not include mileage and each kilometre driven will be charged between 0,21 € and 0,22 € (depending on car model category).

All SHARE NOW cars are covered by third-party liability insurance and your deductible is always automatically reduced to a specific amount in case of an accident. This agreement is waived, however, in cases of gross negligence. To learn more, please check out our terms and conditions.
