Paris, 2 November 2021 - SHARE NOW, the European market leader in free-floating car sharing, optimizes its fleet in Paris with a new electric car model. As of today, 200 new Fiat 500e Icon 3+1 will be gradually placed onto the streets of Paris, representing 27 percent of the French SHARE NOW fleet by the end of this year. This is the first time that SHARE NOW is introducing an electric car model to Paris that is not part of the Daimler AG. The iconic Italian four-seater can be hired via the SHARE NOW app from 0.26 euro per minute.
An improved sustainable car sharing offer
To better meet the needs of its customers, the company is modernizing its French fleet. Olivier Reppert, CEO of SHARE NOW says: “We are constantly looking to improve our service to our 70,000 users in Paris. With the introduction of the Fiat 500e Icon 3+1, we are expanding the choice of our customers and making our fleet even more attractive. With a range of up to 320 kilometers, this shared car is perfect for long distances, even abroad. Together with our smart models, there is now a shared car suitable for all users and for all types of use.”
Electric Fiat 500e: technical gadgets
The Fiat 500e features technical innovations for comfortable driving. For example, the model is equipped with an autonomous emergency brake, speed and attention assistant, lane control and hill start assist. In addition, the model includes a navigation and multimedia system, as well as Apple Carplay and Android Auto. On the exterior of this special 3+1 version of the electric city car, the SHARE NOW customers can find a small, supplementary rear door on the passenger side. This mini door makes it easy for friends to join the ride.
Intensive use of shared cars
Since the beginning of this year, SHARE NOW gained over 7,000 new registrations in Paris and therefore increased its customer base to a total of 70,000 users. SHARE NOW is therefore already offering thousands of residents and visitors to Paris a simple first introduction to electromobility and car sharing. With a focus on sharing more and owning less, SHARE NOW actively contributes to reducing CO2 emissions, parking pressure and traffic in the city. Since the start of SHARE NOW in Paris over 11 million electric kilometers were driven, a distance of 275 laps around the globe.
