How to travel during a rail strike

Car-sharing when rail is on strike

What alternative transport should you take during a strike?

We've all been there before. Your local transport provider is on strike and trains are cancelled. Even the ones that escaped the industrial action are overcrowded or running on reduced schedules. So how do you get to where you need to be? The stress-free option is car-sharing.

By taking a trip with SHARE NOW, you can escape the crowds on the platform and travel from A to B in comfort. You can even pre-book your trip in anticipation of a rail strike.

Alternatives for long-distance travel

It's not just inner city public transport that can be impacted by strikes. Industrial action can put a stop to long-distance trains and buses too. Fortunately, car-sharing is also a great alternative for longer trips. With SHARE NOW, you roam freely outside of the Home Area for up to 30 days - making intercity connections and adventures into rural areas possible. What's more, when you pre-book your trip in advance, we'll even bring your car to your doorstep. Here's how pre-booking works.
