Parking Rules

Where can I park in Copenhagen?

You can park SHARE NOW cars for free on any public street parking space within the Copenhagen Home Area. However, there are certain things you have to pay attention to, including time limits.

Here are 4 points worth remembering when you park or end your trip:

1. Check street signs and parking disc
Okay, buckle up: You must park the car in a public parking space within the Home Area, where the car is allowed to stay parked for at least 2 hours with no restrictions during certain hours. Be sure to check that the automatic parking disc shows the correct time.

2. Park at least 10m away from intersections
You must park the car at least 10m away from intersections. In most places, these are marked with a small, yellow triangle on the curb. No need to be exact – just take 10 looong steps and count it out!

3. Don’t park in private or reserved spaces
You're not allowed to park in private spaces, taxi spaces, disabled parking spaces or similar. Some private spaces are however allowed.

4. SHARE NOW cars are not ‘delebiler’
Say what? We know, but it’s true. Even though thousands of people share our cars every day, you're not allowed to end your trip in so-called car-sharing spaces (in Danish: ‘delebil’). It’s a different category altogether and we don’t hold that licence.
