Minute rate
Simply pay by-the-minute.

Hourly rates – up to 10 hours
Includes fixed amount of hours and kilometres.

Daily rates – up to 10 days
Includes fixed amount of days and kilometres.
(1 day = 24 hours)

Applies to hourly and daily rates: If time is exceeded, the overtime minute rate will apply. If mileage is exceeded, the long distance fee will apply. Hourly and daily rates are valid for one trip and cannot be split into multiple trips. Unused time and km will not be refunded.

To see the additional fees, simply tap on a rate in the app. Detailed information on the overtime minute rate and long distance fee will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

For more information on SHARE NOW prices, see our pricing overview.

Are SHARE NOW cars insured?

Yes. All SHARE NOW cars are covered by third-party liability insurance and your deductible is always automatically reduced to a specific amount in case of an accident. This agreement is waived, however, in cases of gross negligence. To learn more, please check out our terms and conditions.

What happens if I don't use up all the included time and/or mileage in my selected rate?

The rate is charged to your payment profile the moment you start your trip. Unused time or mileage in a rate will not be reimbursed and a rate cannot be split into more trips. We recommend making the most of your package and using it up!

Are there additional costs if I exceed the time or mileage included in my rate?

Yes. After you exceed the time and/or mileage in a package, extra fees for each additional minute and/or kilometer will apply. When you end your trip, the fees will be added to your invoice.

To see these additional fees, simply tap on a rate or package in the app. Detailed pricing information will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

How can I find cars with the lowest prices?

You can easily find our lowest prices by looking for cars marked with a red sticker in the app. The discount applies to the minute rate, which changes according to time and location. The minute rate applies from the moment you reserve the car – no matter where or when you end the trip.

Why does the minute rate change according to time and location?

You might have noticed that the minute rate for each car changes depending on where and when you look in the app. The reason is: availability! Sometimes there are too few or too many cars when and where you need them. To get cars moving to the right spots, the minute rate automatically adjusts itself based on time and location.

The advantages:
✓ Cars in low demand areas are discounted daily so they are more likely to be driven
✓ With just a few adjustments, demand and supply are brought back into balance
✓ This improves the availability of cars throughout the Home Area so you can find a car at the right place and time – for the right price

You can always see the latest minute rate by tapping on a car. Simply look out for cars with red stickers in the app to enjoy the lowest price!

What is the long distance rate?

The long distance fee of 2,50 kr. is what you pay per kilometer after your trip exceeds the included mileage in your chosen rate or package.

For example, if your package includes 100 km of mileage and your trip exceeds this mileage by 10 km, you'll pay 2,50 kr. for each additional kilometer. In this example, that would be 10 km X 2,50 kr. = 25 kr.

The charge is added to your invoice automatically.

What is a deductible?

In an insurance policy, the deductible is the amount paid out of pocket by the policy holder before an insurance provider will pay any expenses.

With SHARE NOW, your deductible is always automatically reduced to a specific amount in case of an accident. The deductible depends on the car and package you select. To learn more, please check out our terms and conditions.

Do I have to pay the toll costs?

Yes, if you are planning to take a SHARE NOW car on toll roads – e.g. Storebæltsbroen in Denmark – you are expected to pay for the toll costs.
However, there are exceptions in some countries:

  • Hungary: Mobility Start Package (MobS) covers the toll costs within Pest county.
  • Austria: The vignettes cover the toll costs for motorways and expressways.*

*Special route toll: In Austria, special route tolls rates on construction-intensive Alpine crossings are NOT included and must be covered at your own expense.
